Hair Albums are very rare. 
Hairwork albums of the 19th century were given before photo's were invented. It was a wonderful way to leave a lasting memory. Students would exchange hair curls and place them in cards with a poem and their signature. 

Hair album are very hard to find. I have never seen a complete album except at a few museums. This one is a wonderful example of a hair album from Deborah Walters collection. It is in a zip file and can be downloaded using WinZip for your viewing. You can save it to your hard drive or open it from the this server.
